Why Is 36 A Sad Number? [Solved]
In the above example, we noticed that, when the number 23 is replaced by the sum of the squares of its digits repeatedly, it ends in 1. Therefore, 23 is a happy number. Here, the number 36 loops endlessly in a cycle which doesn’t end in 1. Therefore 36 is an unhappy or sad number.
